JB 61 Bass The World Edition

We love working with true tone-chasers. Therefore, it is a great joy for us to present to you the JB-61 Bass The World Set, developed together with Gregor Fris of BassTheWorld.com Being a well known YouTube channel dedicated solemnly for bass guitars and gear, Gregor has basically heard it all.

Known for its fat low midrange tone, our JB-61impressed Gregor right out of the box. The neck pickup wowed him so much, that we kept it unaltered in the Bass The World Edition. As for the bridge position, Gregor felt that a slightly hotter version would fit more bass players out there.

The Bass The World Edition has therefore a bridge pickup overwound by ca. 10%. It is laquered potted, in order to preserve high frequencies and give the pickup an enhanced dynamic sensitivity.

All in all, the JB-61 Bass The World Edition is a slightly hotter and more microphonic/sensative version of our best selling JB-61 Set.

Note: Potentiometers and Capacitors affect your tone greatly. Most companies ship guitars without measuring these parts, so it's always a "hit and miss" story. Therefore, for best results, we recommend you to add to your order our premium DIY/Prewired harness kit or checked and measured potentiometers listed below.
