Endless sound. Beautiful, bell-like big headstock CBS Strat from 1974 in Dakota Red refin. 3.28Kg. Highly figured Maple neck.
This guitar is one of the best '70s Strat guitars we've heard in a long time. Thanks to the nitro refinish of the body, the guitar sounds open and “airy”. The neck is also a refin and most likely reshaped as well as it feels like the thin neck shapes of the late 50's. It has a most beautiful flame to it which is even more breathtaking in reality than in photos.
The middle pickup is not original, neck and bridge positions are original. The three complement each other. Pots and cap are repro, tremolo too. Tuners are original.
We are sure that the experienced luthier who worked on this guitar did so with a lot of love. The way this guitar sings tells us that a lot of thought went into every change made. The result is what most of us want when looking for our dream Strat.
Did we say it weighs 3.28Kg?
Comes with a Fender Reissue case.
